Yoga on the mat, or asana as it is called, is a tool to help you achieve physical and mental balance. So it’s not about striking the best pose… despite what instagram looks like!

Everyone’s body is unique, everyone’s strengths are different and everyone needs something different on the mat so the session will be tailored to our individual needs.

The physical benefits of include:

  • Building strength & tone in the muscles

  • Increase bone density & blood flow

  • Improved immune system

  • Improves joint health

  • Increasing flexibility

  • Reduces back pain

The mental benefits of include

  • Reduction in stress and feeling overwhelmed

  • Settle an anxious mind via Yogic breathing techniques

  • Reducing cortisol and adrenaline production to enhance a feeling of relaxation

Feel too intimidated to even try a yoga class? Our one to one yoga for beginners sessions are great for getting you started on the mat. Or you can even bring along a friend for company/back up!

But whatever your reason for wanting to do yoga… it’s important that you relax and have fun with it.
